The Goddess of Birth & Rebirth. Lover of Death. Goddess of the Witches. Aurora. Different names for the same person. She is a powerful goddess who can transcend both Heaven & Hell. Only 2 other people have hte ability to do this: Her lover, Cernunnos & a being known as the Atrocity.

Dawn first appeared in Cry for Dawn #1 on the cover. She continued making the cover of CFD and sparse appearances, but her first main role in an actual story wasn't until Drama, when her background is revealed in "Fall of the Goddess". This story shows Dawn meeting Death for the first time. After Drama the collective comic Lucifer's Halo was released which shows Dawn helping one Darrian Ashoka. Darrian just happens to be the living embodiment of Death. The Return of the Goddess followed which shows Dawn's wrathful side as she attempts to avenge the witches who are being slaughtered. The next Dawn series is Three Tiers with volumes #1 & #2 out now and volume #3 sometime in November. My first exposure to Dawn was oddly enough via an online quiz. I set out to discover more and I found out she appealed to me. Sure there's the whole pagan aspect I suppose but for me Dawn represents someone I want to be. Who I can be. Because she's every woman.
